How weekly service works
We set a regular service day for your property, so you know when to expect us. Each visit covers the full lawn: mowing, trimming around obstacles, edging the hard lines and a final cleanup of clippings.
We raise the cutting height during hot, dry stretches in summer, which helps the cool-season grass common in DuPage County hold up through July and August. Sharp blades matter too: a clean cut heals faster and keeps the lawn from looking brown at the tips.
When the season runs
Mowing usually starts in April or early May and runs into late October or early November, depending on the weather. Many customers start the year with a spring cleanup and finish it with a fall leaf cleanup, so the lawn is ready on both ends of the season.
Getting more from your lawn
Mowing keeps a lawn neat, but a thin or patchy lawn usually needs more than a cut. Aeration and power raking in the fall help the grass fill back in, and fresh mulch or new sod can finish the look around the beds.
Lawn Care questions
How often should my lawn be mowed?
Most lawns here need a cut every week in spring and early summer, when grass grows fastest. Some customers switch to every other week if growth slows in midsummer. We will suggest a schedule after we see the property.
Do I need to be home when you come?
No. As long as we can reach the lawn and any gates are unlocked, we can do the work while you are at work or away.
Do you mow commercial properties?
